"Minnu" is the story of a bird which was written by Lalitha Lenin for Children. For this book she received the Kerala Sahitya Academy Award for children's literature in 1986.  "Karinmkili" (the Blackbird) is the first collection of poems written by Lalitha Lenin.   "Karkidakavavu"  is the second collection of poems written by Lalitha Lenin. The poem "Ammayavuka" (to be a mother) from this collection is one of her most famous poems and have recieved wide appreciation.

"Namukku Prarthkam"  (Let us pray) is the third colletion of poems written by Lalitha Lenin.

"Kadal' (the Sea) is a collection of poems written by Lalitha Lenin for children.

"Puthiya Vaayana" (New Reading), is a book on deconstructive reading for women written by Lalitha Lenin. Various editions of this book has been published till date.
Television  and Lalitha Lenin    
  • She wrote the lyrics for the television serial Mahabali  which was broadcasted on Doordarshan in 1987.
  • She also wrote the script for a documentary on Library Movement in Kerala, produced for Thiruvananthapuram Doordarshan in 1988.
  • She also wrote the stories for two television serials Oridathorikkal (1990) and Mookkuthiyum Manchadiyum (1998). The serials were also broadcasted in Doordarshan channels.
  • She also made her presence felt on television through the Programme Aksharam (16 episodes) in  broadcasted on Doordarshan channels in 1999 and as a judge in  the poetry based reality show,Mampazham in 2010 broadcasted on Kairali TV.
